Ask Claude where to sleep tonight
Vacamp now works inside Claude. Bo, a 1980s VW bus who doesn't do chatbots, on asking for a pitch in plain words, and how to set it up in a minute.
For campers who hate booking ahead
Vacamp is a map of Europe's campsites that asks each one's own booking system whether it has space on your dates — and what the stay really costs. Drive until the light turns gold. Then find out where you're sleeping.
That's the live map, right therejust below. Set your dates, tap Check, and watch the campsites with space light up.
Free on iPhone, iPad and the web. No account needed.
Live, right now
Counted from the same data the map uses. The middle number grows every week.
The old way
You know the ritual. A lay-by at seven in the evening, phone at twelve percent. Campsite one: a calendar widget, your dates, two adults, one child, one dog — full. Campsite two: a different widget, the same questions — full. Campsite three wants an email and will answer on Tuesday. Somewhere around tab fourteen, the sun sets without you.
Vacamp does that whole round of asking for you, all at once, for every campsite on your screen that we can read. Green means there's space on your dates. The number is what the stay actually costs. Then you go.
How it works
The coast you've been dreaming of, the valley past the next pass, or simply “within an hour of here”.
Arrival, departure, grown-ups, kids, the dog — and whether you're in a tent, a van or towing a caravan.
We ask each campsite's own booking system at the same moment. Pins fill with real prices for real availability, and you book directly with the campsite.
Built by people who camp
Availability and prices are read the moment you ask, from the very system the campsite itself takes bookings with. The answer you see is the answer they'd give.
Your favourite spot is booked out? In the app, set a watch. We check it again every hour and nudge you the moment a pitch opens up.
Plenty of wonderful little places have no booking system at all. For those, Vacamp writes the enquiry for you — in the local language, with an English copy underneath.
Checking a campsite uses a token from a free allowance that quietly refills while you drive. Browsing the map is always free, and a check that gets no answer costs nothing.
Found the one? Send the link to whoever's in the passenger seat. It opens the same campsite on the map, in the app or in any browser.
No account, no ads, no tracking. Your location never leaves your device, and booking systems never see who you are — our servers do the asking.
Our promise
When you've found your spot, Vacamp sends you straight to the campsite's own booking page. You book with them, on their terms, at their price. Nobody takes a cut — so nobody has a reason to steer you anywhere but where you want to go.
And where we can't read a campsite yet, we say so plainly. It stays on the map with its website, and the number above tells you exactly how many we can.

Oliver's two went to the Harz and found the map dark. Vacamp checked every campsite in the region and found what it would find almost anywhere in Germany: most can't be booked online at all.
