Why is the map empty where I am?
Vacamp currently covers campsites in Europe — coverage is deepest in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, and grows every week. Pan the map to Europe to see it in action.
Why does a campsite show no price?
Prices and availability come live from each campsite's own booking system. Some systems we can't read yet, some answer slowly or can't be queried for every date combination, and some campsites take bookings by email only. Those campsites still appear on the map, just without a live quote — and for the ones that book by email, Vacamp can write the enquiry for you. More on why.
What are tokens?
Asking a campsite's booking system for your dates uses one token — the same effort as filling in its booking widget yourself. You get a free allowance that refills on its own while you drive, browsing the map never costs anything, and a check that ends without an answer costs nothing either. How tokens work.
Can I book through Vacamp?
No — on purpose. When you've found your spot, Vacamp sends you to the campsite's own booking page, and you book with them directly. We take no commission.
I run a campsite — how do I stop you reading my booking system?
Email support@vacamp.app and we will stop, for one campsite or for a whole platform. For site operators explains what we fetch, how we behave, and what happens when you opt out. For campsites explains what being on the map means for you.
Is my location shared?
No. Location permission is optional and only centres the map on your device. See the privacy policy.
